he disappeared. Of all the researchers, no one could find Figan, or see if he later died—we didn’t know. Under Goblin’s reign, we could see that Figan’s sister, Fifi, hated him. She was very hurt to see Goblin take control of her brother’s rank, she hated it a lot. She was a great enemy to Goblin.

“Goblin continued to reign, but he still had no friends. Because of this he was vulnerable, he had no support from any of the other group members. With no allies, Goblin became suspicious that maybe Freud would challenge him. Without waiting, Goblin violently attacked Freud, bit and tore at his limbs, causing deep injuries so that he couldn’t chal- lenge and take control. He knew his throne was just borrowed, that they would come and attempt to rob him later. One day when I was on duty taking observations at the banana feeding station, Goblin appeared and as he emerged, he found Fifi there in the camp, sitting quietly. Goblin sounded like he was begging to Fifi a little bit, trying to get her approval. But Fifi didn’t like it, so she sounded an alarm, a dangerous voice.
