Mapping the Nation: Creating the World We Want to See

During the conflict in Ukraine, a growing number of humanitarian assistance organizations have gathered in Rzeszow, Poland, to aid displaced people and rebuild after the war. Rather than just wait, many have been mapping the damage to prioritize the reconstruction and resettlement necessary to safely return millions of Ukrainians to their homes. Over the Ukraine: The HALO Trust Maps Land Mines and Explosive Remnants of War first month of the conflict alone, more than 4 million people fled the country, and an estimated 6.5 million people were internally displaced.
